A few months ago, Raymond Burkholder was scheduled to speak at a Family Enrichment Seminar in South Asia. However, due to disruptions in international travel related to tensions in the Middle East, his flights were canceled and he was unable to attend.
The church in South Asia had already secured the venue and completed much of the planning for the seminar. Rather than cancel the event, the local church leaders stepped forward and conducted the seminar themselves.

God richly blessed their efforts. More than 100 participants attended, and the reports indicate that each session was spiritually encouraging and beneficial. The seminar proved to be a tremendous success.
This is exactly the vision of MTM in action: local churches equipped to minister effectively through local leadership, without dependence on foreign teachers or foreign funding. We rejoice in seeing God raise up faithful servants to carry on the work.?
