While we saw very little blue sky we still had the privilege to speak at a family conference in Tunkhel, Mongolia. Tunkhel is normally a four-hour drive north from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, but fuel shortages nearly doubled our travel time.
Thirty years ago, there were only a handful of Christians in Mongolia. Today, there are approximately 40,000—about 1% of the population. This means that most Mongolian believers are first-generation Christians. During our visit, we held a Family Life Conference. The pastor asked us to focus on strengthening marriages, raising godly children, passing faith on to the next generation, and building Christ-centered homes. We were warmly welcomed and deeply encouraged by the believers’ desire to grow in biblical truth. It was especially exciting to see first-generation Christians developing a passion to pass their faith on to the next generation. Please pray that the church in Mongolia will remain faithful, families will be strengthened, and God will continue building His church throughout Mongolia.

Asia Bible School UpdateWe(IGO) just completed Asia Bible School (ABS), an intensive three-week Bible study program. This year, we welcomed 30 students from six countries: India, Nepal, Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand. India had the largest group, with 15 students attending. The classes taught this year:
Worshiping together with believers from so many cultures and backgrounds felt like a small glimpse of heaven. We also enjoyed taking the students out for an evening of street evangelism and welcoming them into our homes for a meal and fellowship. It was encouraging to see these students studying God’s Word together and being equipped to serve Christ in their home countries. Please pray that they will remain faithful as they Go and Make disciples!
Thank you for kneeling with us in prayer, For Jesus’ sake, |
