Macedonian Teaching Ministry (MTM) was requested to come to HBCS & preach & teach their annual spiritual enrichment week for the 42 enrolled students. Raymond taught a series from the first three chapters of the book of 1 Corinthians. He was teaching on the differences in this world’s wisdom and God’s wisdom through the cross. Reminding students not to trust in their education and the certificate they will get for ministry but in the power of the cross of Jesus Christ. I taught one series on the treasure hidden in a field and one that I entitled the “The Path to Power.” I used the example of the path Jesus took in Philippians chapter 2 and how we too must take the same path to be victorious in our Christian life and effective in ministry. It was amazing how Raymond’s and my messages overlapped throughout the week.
We had a very attentive group of about 40 students from all over the 29 different states of India. Most of them have visions of going back to their home regions and getting involved in planting churches and various other ministries. It really gave me a burden and a sense of urgency when I thought about the possibility of igniting firebrands for the gospel and casting them all over the different regions of India.
