Just ahead of MTM’s scheduled departure for North India for a pastoral conference Merle & Judy received word that Merle’s mother passed away. Therefore Merle & Judy needed to travel back to America for his mothers funeral. This meant that Naomi and I would need to facilitate this conference all on our own. And on top of that I was experiencing shortness of breath due to a serious bronchitis infection. Actually I was under a doctors care. The actual conference dates were scheduled for February 10-14 in Himachal Pradesh state of north India near the village of Palampur. Himachal Pradesh state of India is the least evangelized state of all of India.

When word came to David & Susanna Brown, who live in Cuttack (Orissa state of India), that I really should have a helper for the teaching at this conference. They packed their bags and rode on the slow trains of India as well as bus for more than 60 hours to come and join us in North India. All this truly was the hand of God for it is doubtful that my health could have handled the conference on my own.

David & Susanna truly were a gift of God at this conference. David has been like a son to me over the last many years as he has lived as a missionary in India. In fact Naomi & I had part in their wedding in Orissa state of India back in October of last year. David basically prepared a great teaching from the Old Testament book of Daniel while they traveled the many hours on the train coming to North India. A very special thank you to David and Susanna for giving of your time and resources, on such a very short notice, to come to north India to help with the teaching at this conference. Our prayer is that the Lord may reward you openly for your labor of love in building Gods Kingdom in north India. Also a very special thank you to all who were carrying this conference upon their hearts in prayer. Truly it was your prayers that moved the hand of God upon this conference.
